The purpose of the Swiss FinTech Award is to promote regional development while helping create the strongest possible Swiss fintecssh ecosystem underpinned by unprecedented international network links. The Award specifically recognises outstanding Swiss based fintech solutions and the winners are chosen by a renowned jury consisting of a network of partner organisations and fintech experts.

The 2016 winners – Knip and Sentifi – will each receive the Swiss FinTech Award in conjunction with CHF 18,000 prize money and a Wild Card to Accenture’s FinTech Innovation Lab in London.

Milestones

Following registration and an extensive selection process during the winter months of 2015/16 the winning team will be crowned at the Finanz und Wirtschaft forum "FinTech 2016" on 31 March 2016. Online application to the challenge via the Swiss FinTech Award platform

December 2015
Review period and first selection process: Jury members create a Top 10 shortlist from all entries.

Mid January 2016
FinTech Boot Camp: Top 10 teams receive coaching on a variety of topics by internationally acclaimed FinTech experts from Accenture in Zurich.

02.02.2016
Speed dating event: The Top 10 teams pitch to all jury members plus members of the „Award-Gönner-Club“ (representatives of the finance sector). The occasion offers exclusive networking opportunities.

Second selection process: The jury select the finalists based on the outcome of the speed dating event.

31.03.2016
Finanz und Wirtschaft Forum "FinTech 2016": Finalists pitch during the main FinTech conference and the winning team is announced.

All FinTech solutions with a Swiss connection are eligible. This can include, for example Swiss founders (active in Switzerland and/or abroad) or organisations with a Swiss head office.
